Thelma Carrington


Willard "Bill" Ward, passed away July 27, 2003. He was a member of the 311th Recon Wing and 7th Geodetic Control Squadron, 1943-1945. Daughter, Ellen Helton and son Ray Ward, both of Chester, VA, survive him. He had 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His wife Dolly preceded him in death.

Sam Bishop passed away on Wednesday, June 25th at 1:42pm Central Time, after a long battle with lung cancer. He is currently at Arlington Funeral Home in Arlington, TX.

A wake is planned for Monday, June 30th 6-8pm at the Arlington Funeral Home.

Internment is planned for Tuesday, July 1st at 1pm at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Sam Schism (1375th) RC-130 pilot went to be with his lord this morning (31 March 2003) at 0605. Cancer of the pancreas and liver.

The viewing will be at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach, FL, on Tuesday, 1 April 2003, from 1800 to 2000.

The funeral will be in the first Presbyterian Church on lower Beal Parkway (Near 98), on Wednesday, 2 April 2003, at 1300.

I will miss my old comrade.

I received a letter yesterday, notifying me of the death of Clayton Fifield. Clayton was a member of the 1374th and we served together on Taongi Atoll on AST-9 Kwajalien. He was a good man and his death is sad news.

Tom Potter passed away on January 23, 2003. Tom was an AFPMA Life Member, and split his time between Troy PA in the summer, and Talahassee FL in the winter
